Combi cartridge with ultrafiltration membrane, especially for bacteria and virus contamination in waterThe IFP Ultra filters drinking water with a combination of activated carbon filter and membrane:1. the activated carbon filters the pollution in the water by pollutants, smell & taste Ultrafiltration through the Ster-O-Tap capillary membrane retains viruses and bacteria. Particles down to 0.02 µm are securely retained.The IFP Ultra combines the advantages of a sintered activated carbon monoblock with the properties of an ultrafiltration membrane, namely the particle filtration of very small particles such as viruses. The outer activated carbon block with a fineness of 5µm retains pollutants in the water and filters particles, the inner ultra membrane retains even the smallest particles such as viruses down to 0.02µm.Retention of harmful substances:Pollution of the water by odours, taste impairments and dissolved pollutants is permanently removed. Bacteria and viruses are retained by the ultrafiltration membrane. The minerals dissolved in the water are retained. particle retention integrity:0.02 µm according to test VITO with viruses (MS-2 coliphages)Adsorptive retention rate:Determined by self tests of carbonite in comparison to the main cartridge NFP-Premium.
